Subprocessors

This page lists the subprocessors of Faivv (operated by Faivv Limited) — the third parties that process data on our behalf — together with the data each receives and why. It supports our Privacy Policy and is re-verified against the product on every release.

We do not sell personal data. Each subprocessor receives only the data needed for the specific function listed below, under contract terms that restrict further use.

• Services: Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Cloud Storage.
• Data: account email and display name; session tokens; published content, avatars, and attached files; curation and ranking metadata.
• Purpose: account sign-in, primary storage of published content, and delivery of content to viewers with the key-phrase.

• Services: website hosting for faivv.com and the admin console.
• Data: standard web request data (IP address, browser type, requested pages) and short-lived request logs.
• Purpose: delivering the website, viewing experience, and admin tooling.

• Services: hosting of our privileged backend API service.
• Data: account records and published content processed through the API — publishing, withdrawal, expiry enforcement, and content scheduling.
• Purpose: backend operations that require privileged access, which clients cannot perform directly.

• Services: large language model inference (Qwen models via DashScope International).
• Data: text of publicly available news articles and public video metadata (titles, descriptions, view counts). No personal data of Faivv users is sent to this provider.
• Purpose: transforming news articles into reflective commentary published under fictitious identities; selecting editorial video picks; generating written content about recommended videos.

• Services: YouTube Data API v3 — trending video charts and caption retrieval.
• Data: we send an API key for authentication. We receive public video metadata (title, channel, view counts, descriptions, thumbnails) and caption tracks. No user data is sent to YouTube.
• Purpose: discovering trending videos for our video recommendation feature and fetching transcripts to enrich written content.

• Services: Bilibili public ranking API (no API key required).
• Data: we receive public video metadata (title, uploader, view counts, descriptions, thumbnails). No user data is sent.
• Purpose: discovering trending Chinese-language videos for our video recommendation feature.

• Google sign-in and Sign in with Apple, used via Firebase Authentication: used only to create and authenticate your account. We receive the name and email your identity provider shares.
