Safety Standards
Faivv Limited is committed to the safety of all users, especially minors. This document outlines the measures we have implemented to prevent child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and to maintain a safe platform.
Age Restrictions
The minimum age to use Faivv is 13 years old. All users must confirm their age via a checkbox ("I confirm that I am at least 13 years old") at registration. This requirement applies to all sign-in methods including email, Google, and Apple. Accounts of users found to be under 13 are terminated.
Content Moderation
Faivv implements multiple layers of content moderation:
- Pre-publish filtering: All content is automatically filtered for inappropriate language in both English and Chinese before publication.
- Admin review: Content submitted for the Discover board undergoes editorial scoring and curation. Content that violates our Terms of Use is rejected with a score of 0 and not listed.
- Identity review: Administrators review user display names and avatars for appropriateness.
- Content expiry: All content has a maximum time-to-live (TTL) of 7 days, after which it is permanently deleted.
- Scheduled cleanup: Expired and withdrawn content is permanently removed by automated scheduled jobs.
No Direct Communication
Faivv has no direct messaging, comments, group threads, or any form of direct user-to-user communication within the app. Users cannot send messages to each other or have conversations through the application. Content is shared via key-phrases and recipients view content outside the app. This design significantly reduces the risk of inappropriate contact.
Reporting and Blocking
Every piece of public content provides reporting and blocking capabilities:
- Reporting: Anyone can report inappropriate content (no account required). Reports are submitted to the Admin Console queue and an email notification is sent to contact@faivv.com.
- Blocking: Users can block any creator. Once blocked, all of that creator's content is hidden from the user's Discover board. Block records are stored locally on the user's device.
Zero-Tolerance CSAE Policy
Faivv maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards child sexual abuse and exploitation. Any content involving CSAE will be removed immediately and the associated account will be permanently terminated. We will report such content to the relevant law enforcement authorities.
