What is Faivv?
Faivv is an addressless messaging platform. You create content — text, columns of data, or files — assign a key-phrase, and share the key-phrase with anyone. No email addresses, phone numbers, or accounts needed for the recipient.
Faivv is an addressless messaging platform. You create content — text, columns of data, or files — assign a key-phrase, and share the key-phrase with anyone. No email addresses, phone numbers, or accounts needed for the recipient.
Sign up with an email address and password, or with Google. After registering, verify your email to unlock the full navigation. Each account is assigned a unique 16-digit Faivv ID that cannot be changed. Creating an account is free, and you need one only to create and publish Faivvs.
Yes. Faivv has native apps for iOS and Android. They support creating and publishing Faivvs, the Discover board, Memory, Settings, scanning a Faivv QR code, picking photos and videos from your device, and deleting your account. Content types and file limits are the same as on the website.
Faivv fully supports English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese across the website and the mobile apps, including the Discover board and its category names. You can switch language at any time.
A key-phrase is any phrase of words (e.g. today is a beautiful day) that grants access to a published Faivv. Anyone who knows the key-phrase can view the content. You can type your own or let the system auto-generate a short code instead. Key-phrases containing offensive or inappropriate language will be rejected.
Length: 8–50 characters (CJK characters count as 2). Allowed characters: letters (a–z), digits (0–9), hyphen (-), underscore (_), comma, period, colon, question mark — and their Chinese fullwidth equivalents (,。:?). Letters and numbers of any script are accepted (not only a-z), so Chinese, Japanese, and Korean key-phrases work too. Spaces are allowed and collapsed to one, and matching ignores spaces, punctuation, and capitalisation, so a recipient can type the key-phrase naturally. Apostrophes, quotation marks, slashes, brackets, ampersands, and other symbols are rejected. Offensive language is rejected. If you do not provide a key-phrase, the system auto-generates a random code.
Share the key-phrase with your recipient. Anyone who enters it can view the Faivv until it expires or is withdrawn. Each published Faivv also has a shareable link and a QR code, and from the QR view you can generate a printable A4 poster (logo, large QR code, and full link) so people can scan straight through to it.
By default a Faivv is addressless and private: only people who know the key-phrase can view it, and it is not listed anywhere. If you want it discovered, opt in with 'List on Discover'. Opted-in Faivvs enter a review pool, and an administrator curates and scores them before they appear on the public Discover board, which is ranked by views, rating, and freshness. Listing is never automatic.
TTL is an optional setting that determines how long your published content remains available. Once the TTL expires, the content is permanently and irreversibly deleted. Choose a preset of 4 hours, 24 hours, 3 days, or 7 days, or pick a custom date and time up to 7 days ahead.
No. Once content expires or is withdrawn, it is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Memory is your dashboard for Faivvs, with a Saved tab (items you have saved) and a Published tab (Faivvs you have published), each showing its status: live, expired, or withdrawn. From Memory you can withdraw, edit, reuse, or delete your items. Withdrawing a published Faivv ends access immediately and, like TTL expiry, permanently deletes it so it cannot be recovered.
No. Anyone with the key-phrase can view published content without signing in. An account is only required to create and publish Faivvs.
Yes. Faivv is currently free to use.
We collect only your email address and display name (for your account), and the content you publish. We do not use analytics, advertising cookies, or tracking. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Sign in, go to your account page, and click 'Delete my account'. This permanently removes your account and all associated data.
When you delete your Faivv account, your account is disabled immediately and your Firebase Auth record is deleted immediately. However, any Faivvs you have published will be retained for 90 days before permanent deletion. This retention period allows for any pending operations to complete and provides a brief window for recovery in case of accidental deletion.
You can create three types of segments: Text (free-form text), Columns (two-column data tables), and File (images, videos, YouTube or Bilibili links, or PDF documents).
Photos: up to 5MB — automatically compressed and converted to WebP on upload (longest side capped at 2,048 pixels). Videos: MP4 up to 25MB — for longer content we recommend pasting a YouTube or Bilibili link instead of uploading. PDFs: up to 20MB, which covers most multi-page documents including scanned worksheets. The same limits apply on the website and in the mobile apps.
Files attached to a Faivv (photos, videos, PDFs) are stored for a maximum of 90 days from the date of upload, after which they are automatically deleted — even if the Faivv itself still exists. Text and columns content is unaffected and remains for the Faivv's full lifetime. Where a file has been deleted, its section simply shows a notice that the file has expired. Avatars are kept for as long as your account exists.
No. Faivv is not designed for confidential or sensitive information. Since anyone who knows or guesses your key-phrase can access your content during the TTL period, you should never publish passwords, financial details, personal identification numbers, medical records, or any data that could cause harm if disclosed. Treat every key-phrase as potentially discoverable.
Yes. Faivv operates an AI News Scheduler that automatically transforms publicly available news articles into reflective commentary using large language models. AI-generated content is always marked with an "AI-generated" label so you can distinguish it from human-created content. The AI creators are fictitious identities and do not represent real people.
AI-generated content should be treated as a starting point, not a definitive source. It may contain factual errors, misinterpretations, or fabricated details (known as "hallucinations"). It does not represent professional advice or Faivv's position. We recommend independently verifying any information before relying on it.
AI-generated faivvs display an "AI-generated" label at the bottom of the content. They are published under fictitious creator names and always include a link to the original news source article.
Your account may have been blocked by our administrators for one or more of the following reasons: an inappropriate display name, an inappropriate avatar, or repeated or serious violations of our Terms of Use. Blocked accounts cannot publish new Faivvs. To resolve: for name or avatar blocks, go to your Settings page and change your display name or avatar; for violation blocks, write to contact@faivv.com to request unblocking. Less important violations may be lifted automatically during regular reviews.
